Clause 35

The Remote Gambling Act 2014 (Act 34 of 2014) is amended by inserting, immediately after section 36, the following section:“Jurisdiction of courts36A. Despite any provision to the contrary in the Criminal Procedure Code (Cap. 68), a District Court or a Magistrate’s Court has jurisdiction to try any offence under this Act and has power to impose the full penalty or punishment in respect of the offence.”.
