Clause 25

To whom and what to disclose

(1)

A member who is interested in a relevant matter must disclose details of the interest —

(a)

in the case of the Chairperson, to the Chief Executive, all other members and the Minister; or

(b)

in the case of any other member, to the Chief Executive and —

(i)

to the Chairperson;

(ii)

if there is no Chairperson or if the Chairperson is interested in the matter, to the Deputy Chairperson; or

(iii)

if there is neither a Chairperson nor Deputy Chairperson, or if both the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson are interested in the matter, to the Minister.

(2)

The details that must be disclosed under subsection (1) are —

(a)

the nature of the interest and the monetary value of the interest (if the monetary value can be quantified); or

(b)

the nature and extent of the interest (if the monetary value cannot be quantified).

(3)

The Chief Executive must ensure that every interest of a member in a relevant matter —

(a)

is recorded in a register of interests kept by the Authority; and

(b)

is brought to the attention of the person who presides, under section 32, at a meeting of the Authority that relates to the relevant matter.
