Preservation of secrecy
(1)
The Chief Executive, a member, an employee or a delegate of the Authority, or a committee member, who has information in his or her capacity as such that would not otherwise be available to him or her, must not disclose that information to any person except —
in the performance of the Authority’s functions;
with the prior authorisation from the Authority to do so;
in complying with the requirements in this Act for a member of the Authority or a committee member to disclose an interest;
as required or allowed by this Act or any other Act; or
as required by an order of court.
(2)
Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
