Saving and transitional provisions
(1)
The principal Act continues to apply in relation to an action which has been commenced by a specified body under section 9 of the principal Act in force immediately before the date of commencement of section 4 of the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) (Amendment) Act 2016 (called in this section the commencement date) as if this Act has not been enacted.
(2)
For the purposes of subsection (1), “specified body” has the same meaning as in section 2(1) of the principal Act in force immediately before the commencement date.
(3)
For a period of 2 years after the date of commencement of any provision of this Act, the Minister may, by regulations, prescribe such additional provisions of a saving or transitional nature consequent on the enactment of that provision as the Minister may consider necessary or expedient.
