Clause 2

Amendment of section 2

Section 2(1) of the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (called in this Act the principal Act) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the definition of “Chairman” and substituting the following definitions:“ “Board” means the Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board established by section 3 of the Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board Act (Cap. 303A);“chief executive” means the chief executive of the Board and includes any person acting in that capacity;”; and

(b)

by deleting the definition of “Panel”.
