Clause 16

Amendment of section 12D

Section 12D of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting subsection (3); and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (6), the following subsection:“(6A) To avoid doubt, if an employee’s qualifying child is adopted by another person (other than jointly with the employee), the employee ceases to be entitled to any unpaid infant care leave in respect of that qualifying child.”.
