Clause 171

Amendment of section 305

Section 305 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “securities” in subsection (2) and substituting the words “units in a collective investment scheme, securities, securities‑based derivatives contracts”;

(b)

by deleting “(v)” in subsection (3)(b) and substituting “(vi)”;

(c)

by deleting the words “a securities exchange, futures exchange or overseas securities exchange” in paragraph (ii) of the definition of “advertisement” in subsection (5) and substituting the words “an approved exchange or overseas exchange”; and

(d)

by deleting the word “securities” in subsection (6) and substituting the words “capital markets products that are units in a collective investment scheme”.
