Clause 26

Section 31 of the principal Act is amended by deleting subsections (1) and (2) and substituting the following subsections:“(1) Subject to subsection (2), a person is not entitled to join the Scheme if the Board is not satisfied that the person is in good health at the time the insurance cover under the Scheme is to commence.(2) The Board may, on the application of a person who is not entitled to join the Scheme solely by reason of subsection (1), permit the person to join the Scheme, subject to such terms and conditions as the Board may impose either generally or in a particular case.”.
