Clause 23

by inserting, immediately after the words “former wife”, the words “, or order a woman to pay maintenance to her incapacitated husband or incapacitated former husband”; and

by renumbering the section as subsection (1) of that section, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following subsection:“(2) The court may make an order under this section regardless when the marriage was solemnized, whether before, on or after the date of commencement of section 23 of the Women’s Charter (Amendment) Act 2016.”.
