Amendment of section 201
Section 201 of the Companies Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following subsection:“(1) The directors of every company must lay before the company at its annual general meeting the financial statements for the financial year in respect of which the annual general meeting is held.”;
(b)
by deleting subsections (3) and (4);
(c)
by deleting paragraph (a) of subsection (5) and substituting the following paragraph:“(a)consolidated financial statements dealing with the financial position and performance of the group for the financial year in respect of which the annual general meeting is held; and”; and
(d)
by deleting subsection (6).
