Amendment of section 31A
Section 31A of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting subsection (2) and substituting the following subsection:“(2) The Returning Officer must cause notice of every direction issued under subsections (1) and (1A) to be published in the Gazette at least 2 clear days before polling day.”; and
(b)
by deleting the words “in writing to each candidate or his principal election agent” in subsections (3) and (4) and substituting in each case the words “in the Gazette”.
