Clause 14

by deleting the word “Where” in subsection (2) and substituting the words “Subject to subsection (2A), where”; and

by inserting, immediately after subsection (2), the following subsection:“(2A) When determining whether a mark made on a ballot paper clearly indicates the voter’s intention and the candidate for whom the voter gives his vote, the Returning Officer must disregard any mark on the ballot paper that is not made within the area demarcated on the ballot paper for the voter to mark his vote for a candidate.”.
