Amendment of section 4

Section 4 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “for not more than 2 consecutive terms” in subsection (7); and (b)by inserting, immediately after subsection (7), the following subsection:“(7A) However, a person is ineligible for re‑election to office as a member under subsection (2)(c) if the re‑election would result in the person holding office as a member for 3 consecutive terms.”.
