Clause 36

Section 49 of the principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (6), the following subsections:“(7) The Minister may by order amend the provisions of any arrangements that have effect under subsection (1), in order to give effect to Singapore’s obligations under the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting done at Paris on 24 November 2016 (as amended from time to time).(8) Where the provisions of any arrangements that have effect under subsection (1) are amended by an order under subsection (7), then those provisions have effect under subsection (1) as amended by that order.”.
