Clause 35

Rules

(1)

The Minister may make rules prescribing matters necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act.

(2)

Without limiting subsection (1), the Minister may make rules for any of the following matters:

(a)

the control and management of establishments for massage, including individuals who are employed to work in establishments for massage;

(b)

the fees to be charged in respect of licences and approvals;

(c)

the conditions under which licences or approvals may be granted.

(3)

Rules made under this section may provide that any contravention of any rules shall be an offence punishable with a fine not exceeding $5,000 and, in the case of a second or subsequent conviction, a fine not exceeding $10,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or both.
