Clause 8

Section 9(1) of the Moneylenders Act is amended by inserting, immediately after sub‑paragraph (i) of paragraph (a), the following sub‑paragraph:“(ia)has not carried on the business of moneylending within 6 months, or such longer period as the Registrar may approve in writing, after the issue of the licence;”.
