Clause 39

A person who makes a statement or furnishes any information to the Chief Licensing Officer or an authorised officer under this Act which the person knows or ought reasonably to know to be false in a material particular or misleading by reason of the omission of a material particular shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
