Amendment of section 161
Section 161 of the Code is amended —
(a)
by deleting the words “the accused does not indicate that he wishes to plead guilty” in subsection (2) and substituting the words “the defence does not indicate that the accused wishes to plead guilty”; and
(b)
by deleting the words “the accused indicates that he wishes to claim trial” in subsection (3) and substituting the words “the defence indicates that the accused wishes to claim trial”.
