Amendment of section 2
Section 2(1) of the Legal Profession Act (called in this Act the principal Act) is amended —
(a)
by inserting, immediately after the definition of “relevant legal officer”, the following definition:“ “remedial measure” means a remedial measure prescribed by rules made under section 97A for the purposes of Part VII;”; and
(b)
by deleting the full-stop at the end of the definitions of “trust” and “trustee” and substituting a semi‑colon, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following definition:“ “wholly-owned subsidiary of the Society” includes a company limited by guarantee the sole member of which is the Society.”.
