Clause 26

by deleting paragraph (b) of subsection (1) and substituting the following paragraph:“(b)while no cause of sufficient gravity for disciplinary action exists under section 83 or 83A (as the case may be), the regulated legal practitioner should be —

ordered to pay a penalty that is sufficient and appropriate to the misconduct committed;

reprimanded;

ordered to comply with one or more remedial measures; or

subjected to the measure in sub‑paragraph (iii) in addition to the measure in sub‑paragraph (i) or (ii); or”; and

by deleting the words “subsection (1)(b)” in subsection (2) and substituting the words “subsection (1)(b)(i), (ii) or (iv)”.
