Amendment of section 3
Section 3 of the principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (3), the following subsection:“(4) The Authority may —
in relation to any provision in this Act or any regulations made under Part 3, appoint any of its officers or employees to be an enforcement officer for the purposes of that provision, either generally or in a particular case; and
delegate to any enforcement officer the exercise of all or any of the powers conferred or duties imposed upon the Authority by any provision in this Act or any regulations made under Part 3 (except the power of delegation conferred by this subsection), subject to such conditions or limitations as the Authority may specify; and any reference in that provision to the Authority includes a reference to such an enforcement officer.”.
