Amendment of section 61

Section 61 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “detained” in subsections (1), (2)(a) and (3) and in the section heading and substituting in each case the word “seized”;

(b)

by deleting the words “on the expiration” in subsection (1) and substituting the words “as soon as possible after the expiration”;

(c)

by deleting the words “at the end of a period of 3 weeks commencing on” in subsection (2)(b) and substituting the words “on the 22nd day after”;

(d)

by inserting, immediately after the words “(as the case may be)” in subsection (2), the words “as soon as possible after the firstmentioned day”; and

(e)

by inserting, immediately after the words “(as the case may be)” in subsection (3), the words “as soon as possible”.
