Clause 87

Related amendments to Customs Act

(1)

Section 89(1) of the Customs Act (Cap. 70, 2004 Ed.) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “or” at the end of paragraph (viii);

(b)

by deleting the full-stop at the end of paragraph (ix) and substituting the word “; or”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:“(x)satisfying a request for information under section 140EB or 140LA(2H) of the Copyright Act, or section 85B or 93A(2H) of the Trade Marks Act.”.

(2)

Section 89(1) of the Customs Act, as amended by subsection (1), is amended —

(a)

by deleting “140LA(2H)” in paragraph (x) and substituting “140LE”; and

(b)

by deleting “93A(2H)” in paragraph (x) and substituting “93E”.

(3)

Section 89(1) of the Customs Act, as amended by subsection (1), is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “Copyright Act” in paragraph (x), the words “, section 59B or 67D of the Geographical Indications Act 2014, section 68I of the Registered Designs Act”.
