Clause 49

Amendment of section 2

Section 2 of the Rapid Transit Systems Act (Cap. 263A, 2004 Ed.) is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the definition of “maintenance”, the following definition:“ “outsourced enforcement officer”, in relation to any provision of this Act or regulations made under this Act, means an individual who —

(a)

is appointed under section 11 of the Land Transport Authority of Singapore Act;

(b)

is authorised by or under that Act to exercise any powers under any provision of this Act or regulations made under this Act, as the case may be; and

(c)

is acting within that authorisation;”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the words “but not any railway commuter facility” in the definition of “railway premises”, the words “unless expressly included”.
