Clause 431

Acts of corporations, firms and lunatics

For all or any of the purposes of Parts 3 and 13 to 22 —

(a)

a corporation may act by any of its officers authorised in that behalf under the seal of the corporation;

(b)

a firm may act by any of its members; and

(c)

a person who lacks capacity may act by —

(i)

a donee of a lasting power of attorney granted by the person with powers in relation to the person for the purposes of Parts 3 and 13 to 22; or

(ii)

a deputy appointed or deemed to be appointed for the person by the court under the Mental Capacity Act with powers in relation to the person for the purposes of Parts 3 and 13 to 22.
