Clause 463

Amendment of Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act

Section 9(4) of the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (Cap. 52A, 2009 Ed.) is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after sub‑paragraph (iv) of paragraph (d), the following sub‑paragraph:“(iva)an order is made under section 71 of the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act 2018 approving a compromise or an arrangement between the supplier and the supplier’s creditors;”;

(b)

by deleting the words “Part VIII of the Companies Act” in paragraph (d)(v) and substituting the words “Part 6 of the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act 2018”;

(c)

by deleting the words “Part VIIIA of the Companies Act” in paragraph (d)(vi) and substituting the words “Part 7 of the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act 2018”; and

(d)

by deleting the words “Part X of the Companies Act” in paragraph (d)(vii) and substituting the words “Part 8 of the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act 2018”.
