Amendment of section 20

Section 20 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting subsection (5);

(b)

by deleting the word “amount” in subsection (7)(b) and (c) and substituting in each case the word “volume”; and

(c)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (7), the following subsection:“(7A) For the purposes of subsection (4), the Minister may prescribe different amounts of waterborne tax for persons differently situated, including different amounts of waterborne tax for different volumes of water supplied and estimates of different volumes of used water (including sewage, waste matter and effluent) disposed of.”.
