Clause 13

Amendment of section 33

Section 33 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “pursuant to” in subsection (1) and substituting the word “under”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (d) of subsection (2), the following paragraph:“(da)to prescribe the fees for an application under, or for any other purpose of, this Act;”; and

(c)

by deleting the words “and prescribing fines, not exceeding $10,000, that may, on conviction, be imposed in respect of any such offence” in subsection (2)(e) and substituting the words “and that on conviction of any such offence, a fine not exceeding $10,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or both may be imposed”.
