Clause 10
Conditions for issue of Part 3 Directions
(1)
Any Minister may instruct the Competent Authority to issue a Part 3 Direction if all of the following conditions are satisfied:
(a)
a false statement of fact (called in this Part the subject statement) has been or is being communicated in Singapore;
(b)
the Minister is of the opinion that it is in the public interest to issue the Direction.
(2)
Any Minister may instruct the Competent Authority to issue a Part 3 Direction in relation to the subject statement even if it has been amended or has ceased to be communicated in Singapore.
