Clause 8

Section 45(1) of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words “may suspend a driving licence of a person for a period not exceeding 3 years” and substituting the words “may, in such prescribed circumstances, suspend a driving licence of a person not exceeding a prescribed period (which period does not exceed 5 years)”.
