New section 57A

The principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after section 57, the following section:“False or misleading information57A. Any person who provides any information, that the person knows or has reason to believe is false or misleading, to the Commissioner or licensing officer in connection with any application for a licence or permit under this Act shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.”.
