Saving and transitional provisions relating to amendments to Geographical Indications Act 2014
(1)
Section 5 does not apply to or in relation to any decision of the Registrar of Geographical Indications arising from an application, opposition, request for qualification or other proceeding made or filed before the date of commencement of that section.
(2)
Section 6 does not apply to or in relation to any proceedings commenced before the date of commencement of that section before the Registrar of Geographical Indications.
(3)
Despite section 7, section 81 of the Geographical Indications Act 2014 as in force immediately before the date of commencement of section 7 continues to apply to or in relation to any offence under that Act committed before that date.
