Amendment of section 14

Section 14 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “A protector or any person authorised in that behalf by a protector” in subsection (1) and substituting the words “The Director‑General, a protector or any person authorised in that behalf by the Director‑General or a protector”;

(b)

by deleting the words “before the protector” in subsection (1) and substituting the words “before the Director‑General or protector”; (c)by deleting the word “child” wherever it appears in subsections (1) and (2) and substituting in each case the words “child or young person”; and

(d)

by deleting the words “The protector” in subsection (2) and substituting the words “The Director‑General or a protector”.
