Amendment of section 16
Section 16 of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by inserting, immediately after the word “If”, the words “the Director‑General or”;
(b)
by deleting the words “the protector” wherever they appear in paragraphs (i)(B) and (ii) and substituting in each case the words “the Director‑General or protector (as the case may be)”; and
(c)
by inserting, immediately after the words “Power of” in the section heading, the words “Director‑General and”.
