Publication of information
(1)
The Director may publish, or cause to be published, in a form and manner determined by the Director, any information which the Director or an authorised officer has acquired or generated in the course of the Director or authorised officer exercising the functions, performing the duties or generally administering or enforcing this Act as the Director considers necessary or expedient to publish in the public interest.
(2)
Without limiting subsection (1), the Director may publish information relating to —
the lapsing, shortening, suspension or revocation of a licence or an exemption granted to any person;
the making of a step‑in order or an expedited step‑in order against a designated licensee;
the making of a direction under this Act against any person;
the censure of any person;
the removal of and replacement of any key appointment holder, Principal Officer or Clinical Governance Officer of a licensee;
the acceptance by any person of an offer to compound any offence under this Act; and
the conviction of any person for any offence under this Act.
(3)
This section does not override any restriction on the disclosure of any information under this Act.
