Amendment of section 489C

Section 489C of the Penal Code is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “currency note” and substituting the word “currency”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the words “15 years”, the words “and shall also be liable to fine”; and

(c)

by deleting the words “currency notes” in the section heading and substituting the word “currency”.
