by deleting paragraph (b); and

by renumbering the section as subsection (1) of that section, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following subsection:“(2) Except as provided in subsection (1), the provisions in this Part and the building regulations made for the purposes of this Part (so far as relevant) apply to and in relation to fixed installation works as if the fixed installation works are building works with the prescribed exceptions, modifications and adaptations in the building regulations as the differences between fixed installation works and other building works require.”.
