Saving and transitional provisions
(1)
Section 6 does not apply in relation to any offence —
under section 26(2) of the principal Act as in force immediately before the date of commencement of section 6; and
that is committed before that date.
(2)
Section 8 or 15 (as the case may be) does not apply in relation to any disciplinary offence committed before the respective date of commencement of that section.
(3)
Section 20 does not apply in relation to any offence —
under section 86(9) of the principal Act as in force immediately before the date of commencement of section 19(g); and
that is committed before that date.
(4)
Despite section 23(b), section 90(3)(vii) of the principal Act as in force immediately before the date of commencement of section 23(b) continues to apply in relation to the imposition of a financial penalty for any act of infringement that is committed before that date.
(5)
For a period of 2 years after the date of commencement of any provision of this Act, the Minister may, by regulations, prescribe such additional provisions of a saving or transitional nature consequent on the enactment of that provision as the Minister may consider necessary or expedient.
