Clause 33

by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following subsection: “(1) Any person who for any purpose connected with this Act —

knowingly makes any false or misleading statement;

provides, or causes or knowingly allows to be provided, any document or information which the person knows to be false or misleading in a material particular; or

intentionally alters, suppresses or destroys any document which the person is required to provide under section 15A,shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $20,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.”; (b)by deleting the words “produced or furnished any document” in subsection (2) and substituting the words “provided any document or information”; and

by deleting the words “or document” in subsection (2) and substituting the words “, document or information, as the case may be”.
