Clause 1

Short title and commencement

This Act is the Copyright Act 2021 and comes into operation on a date that the Minister appoints by notification in the Gazette.(2) For the purposes of subsection (1), the same date must be appointed for all the provisions of this Act except —

(a)

Division 2 of Part 9 and section 507(4)(c) (licensing of collective management organisations); and

(b)

sections 501(2) and (3) and 507(10) (jurisdiction of General Division of High Court).
