Amendment of section 84

Section 84 of the Penal Code is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “(whether wrong by the ordinary standards of reasonable and honest persons or wrong as contrary to law)” in paragraph (b); and

(b)

by renumbering the section as subsection (1) of that section, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following subsection (before the Illustration):“(2) Subsection (1)(b) applies only if the person is incapable of knowing that his act —

(a)

is wrong by the ordinary standards of reasonable and honest persons; and

(b)

is wrong as contrary to law.”.
