Clause 64

Who is responsible for disclosing reportable political donations

Subject to this Act, the person who is responsible for making a disclosure of reportable political donations as required by section 62 is —

(a)

for reportable political donations received and accepted by a political party — every responsible officer of the political party;

(b)

for reportable political donations received and accepted by or on behalf of a candidate at an election — an election agent of the candidate;

(c)

for reportable political donations received and accepted by or on behalf of an election agent of a candidate — the election agent;

(d)

for reportable political donations received and accepted by or on behalf of a political office holder who is not a Member of Parliament — the political office holder;

(e)

for reportable political donations received and accepted by or on behalf of a Member of Parliament (whether or not a political office holder) — the Member of Parliament;

(f)

for reportable political donations received and accepted by or on behalf of a Part 4 politically significant entity — every responsible officer of the Part 4 politically significant entity; or

(g)

for reportable political donations received and accepted by or on behalf of an individual who is designated under section 48(1) as a politically significant person — that individual.
