Clause 4

Amendment of section 5

Section 5 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting paragraph (a) and substituting the following paragraph:“(a)advise on, supervise, control and require alterations, repairs, maintenance, renovations or construction of any kind to be made to any national monument or proposed national monument for the purpose of ensuring the better preservation of the national monument or proposed national monument;”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the words “national monument” in paragraph (b), the words “or proposed national monument”.
