Clause 54

Amendment of section 2

(1)

Section 2(6) of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (a), the following paragraph:“(aa)any sum refunded, or to be refunded, to the account of another member in the Fund under section 19;”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the words “or 19A(2) or (6)” in paragraph (b), the words “, as in force immediately before the date of commencement of section 57 of the Central Provident Fund (Amendment) Act 2021”; and

(c)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (b), the following paragraph:“(ba)any sum refunded or paid, or to be refunded or paid, to the account of another member in the Fund under section 19D;”.

(2)

Section 2(6) of the principal Act, as amended by subsection (1)(c), is further amended by deleting paragraph (ba).
