Amendment of section 59D

Section 59D of the Prisons Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (b) of subsection (1), the following paragraphs:“(ba)must not consume any controlled drug or alcoholic beverage, or use or inhale any intoxicating substance;

(bb)must not have in the prisoner’s possession any controlled drug;”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (3), the following subsection:“(4) The notice mentioned in subsection (3) must be served —

(a)

by delivering it personally to the prisoner; or

(b)

by any other means that may be prescribed.”.
