Amendment of section 34
Section 34 of the Prisons Act is amended —
(a)
by inserting the word “and” at the end of subsection (3)(a);
(b)
by deleting paragraphs (b) and (c) of subsection (3) and substituting the following paragraph:“(b)be deemed to be a prison officer for the purposes of sections 69, 72 and 73.”; and
(c)
by deleting subsection (5).
