Amendment of section 21

Section 21 of the Registered Designs Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “before the expiry of the current period of registration” in subsection (2) and substituting the words “not earlier than the prescribed period before the date of expiry of the current period of registration, and not later than the date of expiry of the current period of registration”; and

(b)

by deleting the words “period of 6 months immediately following the” in subsection (5) and substituting the words “prescribed period after the date of”.
