Amendment of section 19

Section 19 of the Trade Marks Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “not later than 6 months after the date of expiry of the registration” in subsection (3) and substituting the words “not earlier than the prescribed period before the date of expiry of the registration, and not later than another prescribed period after that date”; and

(b)

by deleting the words “the period of 6 months” in subsection (5) and substituting the words “the second‑mentioned prescribed period in subsection (3)”.
