Amendment of section 34
Section 34(1) of the Women’s Charter is amended —
(a)
by deleting the words “, being required by section 29 to appear before a Deputy Registrar, fails to do so within the prescribed time” and substituting the words “fails to appear before the Registrar or a licensed solemniser after being required to do so under section 28(3)”; and
(b)
by deleting the words “Deputy Registrar” in the section heading and substituting the words “Registrar or licensed solemniser”.
