Amendment of Customs Act 1960, etc.
(1)
In the Customs Act 1960, after section 6, insert —“Officers of customs to be armed6A. Every officer of customs must be provided with such batons, arms, ammunition and other accoutrements as may be necessary for the effective discharge of his or her duties.”.
(2)
In the Guns, Explosives and Weapons Control Act 2021, in section 97, delete subsection (5).
